Meet the new-look Mazda2. The Japanese firm pulled the wraps off its tweaked supermini at the Paris show.
The most obvious difference is the new nose, which features the signature Mazda smiley face that debuted on the latest Mazda3 and Mazda5. The firm has also turned its attention to improving the quality of the interior.
The more major alterations have taken place underneath. The firm promises a fully Euro V-compliant engine line-up, tweaks to the chassis to improve ride comfort and a new automatic gearbox option.
The new Mazda2 debuted alongside the new Mazda5, which uses the firm’s new 113bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine. The unit replaces the 2.0-litre diesel, and returns 54.3mpg, and cuts carbon dioxide emissions by 15 per cent. The new diesel engine will also be shown in the Mazda3. For more details click here.
