The Obamobile will look like a Cadillac but is built like a tank. It is thought to be based on a GMC 2500 truck that gets less than 10 miles to the gallon. There are hybrid four-wheel drives on the market, such as Ford’s Mercury Mariner, which some critics believe could have been adapted for the president.

Pontiac
Speculation is raging that Pontiac is planning to release a new muscle car, following the introduction of the newest car from Holden in Australia. This company has long worked with GM and there are many who believe that this model may be identical to one that Pontiac will release in the States soon. Since Pontiac has been left behind in the muscle car resurgence which has seen entries from all of the big three automakers, the time would certainly be ripe for such a release

Dodge Viper
The Dodge Viper was conceived as a modern interpretation of the classic muscular American sports car. Debuting as a concept in 1989 to huge consumer enthusiasm, everything about the production Dodge Viper was perfectly over the top, including its cartoonish styling, giant 335/35-series rear tires and thumping 400-horsepower V10 engine.
BMW Z4
BMW took the wraps off its latest customer-racer in Geneva - the BMW Z4 M Coupe! Although the press release makes no mention of the coupe's North American racing future, rumors have been circulating the American Le Mans Series paddock that BMW's factory-supported PTG team is contempolating switching from the M3 to a Z4 M Coupe for one of its two GT2S-class cars part-way through the season. By the look of things, it appears safe to say that the rumor just became a fact.

Electric car
Electric cars: the future of personal transportation? These are just a few of the available options and manufacturers working on electric vehicles today, but a singular trade-off remains fairly constant between them all: you can either have a small, slow, commuter-only car right now or you can roll the dice that one or more of the real cars delivers on its promises, but you'll have to keep guzzling gas until they arrive in showrooms. Will electric cars be the next revolution in transportation? Only time will tell.
muscle car
As u have seen the defination of muscle car in the previous two pages, the same defination applies here. Muscle car is a term used to refer to a variety of high performance automobiles. It generally describes a 2-door rear wheel drive mid-size car with a large, powerful V8 engine, and at an affordable price . Muscle cars principally refers to American, Australian and to a lesser extent South African models from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Muscle cars were built for drag racing and also for street use.
tesla roadstar
No list would be complete, without what is probably the greenest sports car in the planet. The Tesla Roadster, is the cream of the top. The fully electrically powered sports car can do 0-100kph/60mph in a little over 4 seconds. To give you an idea of how cool this car is, if we were to calculate the fuel efficiency of this vehicle it would be the equivalent of 135 miles PER GALLON! Not bad for a fully electrically powered vehicle. Take that Ferrari.
Now when talking about power, you can’t help but wish that you had access to a FT-HS. So far, most of these have been concept cars. Not this one though, as this vehicle is scheduled to go into production in 2009. Soon we can all be salivating at the beauty of its advanced hybrid - gasoline system, capable of moving you from 0 to 100kph/60mph in an astonishing four seconds flat. Now that’s what we call power
Unveiled at the Paris show last year, the Citroen C-Metisse Concept is another attempt to create a diesel hybrid car. What’s so exciting about that? well this particular vehicle can operate in a Zero Emission mode, an all electric mode perfect for city cruising, while giving you access to the power of the diesel engine when needed in the motorway. While not as fast as the Saab, the fact that it has a mixed mode engine puts it just a bit higher in our list.
Looking like something out of a spy movie, the Venturi Fetish is the world’s only in production electric sports car. While its top speed is only 100mph, it’ll give you plenty of power in the initial acceleration as it does a good 0-100kph/60mph in about 5 seconds. sadly, only 25 cars are being produced a year. But this list wouldn’t be complete without it.
It’s encouraging to see car manufacturers look for alternative fuel sources to power their vehicles. This particular concept by Saab comes equipped with an ethanol guzzling 2.8L twin-turbocharged V6 that can get you from 0 to 100kph/60mph in 4.2 seconds. Even cooler, the car has no doors, rather, the entire top canopy section of the car opens up, making it one of the most unique designs out there. Sadly, the car is still on concept stage. But one can still dream.
Top 5 most sexiest sports cars
It is often said that for green cars to be taken seriously, serious car buffs must realize that they can compete with the big boys. You see, most people think that you just can’t get proper mileage out of electric cars, that they are ugly, and most importantly, that they just can’t go fast. Well, to prove them wrong, and to start out our brand new Transportation Tuesdays series, we’d like to bring to you the top 5 greenest, fastest, and sexiest beauties on wheels that we’ve ever seen. Counting down from 5 to 1, here they are…

This is specially for computer geeks who have passion for cars too, a computer mod car case just for you! It's the most wanted BMW case mod, design by Jason Hess of Cincinnati and the case mod currently features in the 2006 ExtremeTech case mod contest. The hood is fitted with handmade hinges and the case mod supports a Ultra fire CPU cooler and has dual blue 12 inch lights under car that lend it that streetglow effect. IĆ¢€™m not sure how this guy fits everything in this computer car case. It's indeed an awesome modification!

Porsche 911 Carrera GT2
The first Porsche model rolled off the line at the German factory in 1948. Since that time, Porsche has developed a reputation for make sporty cars that can compete with the most exotic Italian supercars. Despite looking like a Volkswagen Beetle on steroids, the Porsche 911 Carrera is about as fast as anything you'll see out on the open road. The new Porsche Carrera GT is one of the most impressive car designs of the past 10 years.
Mitsubishi Lancer
There is good news to all Americans, as Mitsubishi will launch its 2008 Lancer Evolution to the United States before any other market even before it hits the automaker's homeland of Japan. The production sedan is based closely on the Mitsubishi Concept-X. According to some reports of Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper, the car will be introduced in Japan in fall 2007 that means approximately six months after it arrives in America. So the U.S. debut will be somewhere around late spring 2007, and there is a great possibilityof introducing the car at the New York Auto Show in April, or even a preview at the Detroit show in January. The company hopes to sell around 50,000 Lancers next year in the 'States.
Acura TL Type-S
There were reports early this week that suggested Acura would offer a more powerful 'Type-S' TL for the 2007 model year. Well we’ve got some more details on the car. The car was originally scheduled to be introduced in early September. The 3.5-liter V6 engine is behind the secret of the car providing 286 horsepower and 256 lb.-ft. of torque. More a aggressive styling helps differentiate the Type-S from its siblings, including broad slightly modified headlights, fog lights that have been dropped into the lower fascia, and a mesh grille bisected by a chrome crossbar.
Audi TT Coupe
If you are thinking of buying an Audi TT then it would just be the right time. The reason for this is an ambitious increase in production that the company has announced. The production of the 2007 Audi TT Coupe began in June at the company's Hungarian assembly plant. The company will increase the employees from the current modest level of 220 up to 800 just for one good reason and that is to boost the production. The four-fold increase in workers will allow Audi to increase the production of the vehicles from 20,000 to 50,000 next year. The intensions seems clear and indicative of both very strong sales of earlier versions of the vehicle, and a strong reception to the design changes that have made the car a little sleeker and a little nicer. All car fans have more chances to see them on the road, or to buy one if they are in the market.
Gold Plated Porsche
If a gold fan, well what I mean to say is if you like golden watch, gold jewelry, gold mobile, gold pens etc., then this Gold plated Porsche will certainly add glitters to your collection. All the major components, from the control elements such as the steering wheel and door knobs to the car body and alloy rims, are all gold plated, making the two-seater exceptionally luxurious.

Porsche Carrera GT Specs
This Porsche's sports car is an open two-seater that comes with an easy to use roof made of lightweight carbon.Originally Carrera GT was built for the street, however it is obvious that it is a racing car. It produced such monstrous amounts of horse power from its V10 engine that labeling it a simple street car is totally inappropriate. It easily qualifies to be named a super car. Carrera GT extends the possibilities of road driving and racing to the whole new level. It features an engine that easily tops the charts of the most powerful and fastest road cars.
Lamborghini Painted
Someone truly invested in painting this car. Like it wasn't enough it's a Lamborghini... Lamborghini itself is usually a show stopper, but this car is a state of art. If the dude who owns this Lamborghini decides to sell it one day, I'm sure it will fetch much more than the average market price for a Lamborghini. This Lambo is a work of art!
Lamborghini Roadstar
The 2007 Lamborghini MurciƩlago LP640 has a 6.5 l engine and torque output improved at 487 pound-feet. Lamborghini murcielago LP640
In 2006 the car’s name was changed to Lamborghini MurciĆ©lago LP640 and it was improved with more power and multiple user-friendly characteristics. The initials “LP” come from Longitudinale Posteriore, which refers to the engine that is placed longitudinally, able to reach 633 hp at 8000 rpm. It has 6.5-litre engine with 640 horsepower. The transmission is placed in front of the engine with the differential behind it. On the outside, the changes were made with the intention to make the car more effective in aerodynamics: reshaped rear bumpers and exhaust, enlarged air intake on the left, revised suspension under the body of the car. The doors open on the lateral like its predecessors, the body is made of steel and carbon fiber and the wheels are new 18-inch Hermera alloys. Inside the Murcielago LP640 has a lot more room and improved audio system. Ceramic breaks, glass engine cover - which shows off the LP640's 6.5 L V12 engine - and chrome paddle shifters are optional. At the Paris Motor Show, a special edition was presented: The Versace LP640 featured completely white exterior, created as a special version of the LP640 Coupe, with Versace personalized interior. Another all-black Versace and Roadster Lamborghini were introduced.
Lamborghini Murcielago
In 2002 Italian automaker Automobili Lamborghini launched supercar Lamborghini Murcielago, built by Luc Donckerwolke. The car was named after a bull that heroically survived 24 sword injuries from a matador. Every time a new Lamborghini car is presented, the show turns into a special event.
Later, in 2004 and 2005 Lamborghini Roadster was introduced, an upgraded model, with a bolder rear flank. The first Murcielago had 580-horsepower and a V-12 engine. Since it was put out on the market, over 2 000 such supercars have been sold.

Maclaren F1 fastest one
That would be the Caparo T1, Unofficially the world's fastest street legal car (they can't make it official because of potential safety problems...such as igniting it's exhaust fumes giving an Afterburner effect =_=;;, and having to go like 100 miles around a bend in order to generate enough downforce stick the car to the ground...they say they fixed this problem but...who knows) The official fastest street legal car is now the SSC Aero TT.Now if you want to venture beyond that ... The ThrustSSC is the fastest vehicle to date[doesn't really look like car but it has ]...some people are trying to break that record with a converted F104 starfighter but eh. Anyways yeah.....
Ferrari smaller and quiker
The future arrives in two years in a 600-horsepower car that weighs 2,200 pounds.
According to Car and Driver, Ferrari will introduce the as-yet-unnamed supercar in 2010. C&D says it won't be called the Millechili -- but it will look a lot like the styling concept (pictured) Ferrari showed off last year.
The car will have an aluminum space frame similar to the F430 Scuderia but stretched to a wheelbase of 104.3 inches and fitted with a V10 engine. That's a break from Ferrari's tradition of putting V8s or V12s in its road cars, but Ferrari won five consecutive Formula 1 championships with its V10s, so the engine undoubtedly will be a corker.

BWM finally showed off its two-mode hybrid system (the first BMW with two-mode hybrid system) at Frankfurt Motorshow, the idea behind this concept car is “merging the athletic aesthetics of a true sports car with the versatility of an SAV resulted in a new vehicle category that so far has not been realised” as stated on the bmw website. Quoted from Chris Bangle as Chief of Design for BMW Group about bmw concept x6 : “a good concept realizes itself in a short amount of time”. There is no official technical statement from BMW about this BMW X6, but the hybrid system expected to improve fuel efficiency by 20 percent. This car was only a concept till now, I believe this is going to be the basic of the next model bmw car.

Mercedes Benz P8
The growing popularity of 360 Modena and recently launched Gallardo is worrying Mercedes Benz and they are up to launch their new Mercedes Benz P8 as a 2008 model. Well, mid engine super car segment is quite lucrative and Mercedes people do not want to fall behind. Mercedes is focusing on taking its place between $370,000 SL 55 AMG and the $1 million SLR with its smaller, lighter, more focused mid-engine model in performance and price. 2008 Mercedes Benz P8 is officially a concept, which means that the cost proposal is still under way, hence no guesses for the prices. Convertible is expected for the car with regular coupe. According to Mercedes boss Jurgen Hubbert, “We are looking at a mid-engine road car, but there is no decision on production.” Any guesses for the prices. It might cost somewhere about $450,000 and could have a higher price tag then the cars it is going to compete i.e. Ferrari 360 and Lamborghini Gallardo. Whether this car will see the light of the day is not very clear. McLaren claims that the car has simply been delayed further than its projected 2007 instigated date.
Ukranian Man Builds Two-Faced Wooden Car
I don't know what it is with Ukrainians and building unusual wooden things, but Vasily Lazarenko has gone and built himself a car. Under the wood it's a 1981 Opel, but on top of the wood it's a confusing looking sedan/convertible hybrid. Like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I mean damn that wood looks good, but I would have stuck with one design for the whole thing. Vasily quit his job and sold two other cars in order to afford the 1.5 years and parts needed to complete this, uh, thing. He refuses to admit what it cost to build, which means it was way too much and he regrets ever doing it. You have talent Vasily, but lets stick to rocking chairs and toy wagons in the future, okay?
